Match Report 

Borrisokane 0-3 Cloughjordan 

A Ger Corcoran Penalty save at 2-0 was the stand-out moment of the game as Cloughjordan 'A' ran out 3-0 winners at home to Borrisokane. The match was due to be played in Borrisokanes pitch but that was deemed unplayable the day before and the fixture was moved to Cloughjordan. 

Gary Culbert scored Cloughjordan A's first ever goal on the new pitch at Townsfields, firing in from close range following a set-piece early in the game.

Another set-piece another goal, Martin Grace forcing in another from close range midway through the half.

Just before Half time Liam Hannon let fly from 30 yards out after a lovely little flick from Stuart fox to put the ball into liams path , this was the  pick of the goals, leaving Clough in a commanding position facing into the wind in the second half.

The second half saw the game been a bit scrappy compared to the first half but neither side could get a goal in the second half. 

We advance to round 3 where we will have a tough away game to BT harps who play in the premier division. 

MOTM: Ger Corcoran for his outstanding penalty save to deny Andy Nevin's powerful strike, Had borrisokane scored this it would have made it 2–1 and could have changed the game completely.
