Division 2 shield semi final result
Our men’s b team made the trip to Birdhill for this game and put in a solid effort but found them self’s at the wrong end of the result with Birdhill winning it 4-1.
It was 1-1 at half time and the team were well in the game. At the start of the second half Birdhill won a penalty and duly slotted it home to go 2-1 up. The game progressed and was end to end with chances for both teams but it was Birdhill who went on to grab two more goals and finish progress to the final.
Best of luck to Birdhill F.C. in the final.
Players that stood out for Cloughjordan were Danny parker and Richard Dusty King. A Good solid team performance in very Windy conditions.
We will be heading back to Cloughinn Bar for some refreshments .
