Match Report 

Cloughjordan 3-1 Moneygall

A moments silence was held before the game to remember our teammate Chiboy who recently passed away. 

First half - 

This game proved to be an entertaining back and forth game with Moneygall been the favourites going into the game.  Cloughjordan took about 15 to 20 mins to settle into the game and with some great play from Kevin Kennedy he was able to play Andy Brennan in , who slotted the ball home to put us 1-0 up. Cloughjordan began to get into their stride and where having some good phases of play but Moneygall weren’t out of the game and created some very good chances of their own but lucky for us they couldn’t find the net. We went into half time with a 1-0 lead .

Second half - 

The second half started with us applying some pressure which turned into a corner kick which Dylan Delaney played a lovely in swinging ball which looked like it was going to miss everyone and go out past the back posted but up popped Eddie Brady to get his head onto it and guide it back towards the net to give us a 2-0 lead. 

This lead was then halved only a few minutes later when Jody Troy was fouled in the cloughjordan box and awarded a penalty. Up stepped Johnny Powell to send the keeper the wrong way and make it 2-1 to  bring moneygall back into it. 

Again the game was back and forth with both teams having chances and on 71 mins Kevin Kennedy found his shot from outside the box curl its way past the keeper and into the net to make it 3-1. This was how the game finished up and our B team have made it two wins in a row now.
